Isis
Offering candles to Isis: Egyptian goddess of magic, resurrection, protection, and sovereignty. She is often depicted as a 'golden-skinned' woman crowned with a lunar orb nestled between the horns of a bull.
According to Hermetic wisdom, Isis was apparently schooled by Hermes, the divine messenger of the Greek gods. From his teachings, it is said that she invented the writings of all nations, taught men how to love, invented sailing, and created the foundations to build a more tame society. Some Greek hymns referred to her as the “essence of all the gods.” One inscription at her temple at Sais reads: “I am that which is, which hath been, and which shall be; and no man has ever lifted the veil that hides my Divinity from mortal eyes.” The veil in which she speaks of supposedly concealed all the mysteries and learnings of the past. Those who did see beyond her veil incurred sudden death, forever to remain silent about the mysteries they had seen.
Evoke Isis to channel her energy for protection, strength, love, and growth.
