FAQ: General
Candles are powerful tools in a witch’s craft. They can be offered to spirit guides, ancestors, and deities, or used in spellwork aligned with a specific intention—such as abundance, healing, or love. The color of a candle often corresponds to particular desires (for example, red for love, purple for intuition, or blue for healing). When a candle is dressed with oils and herbs that match the practitioner's intent, it’s believed to enhance the spell’s effectiveness and attunes it to the witch's purposes.
My work centers on creating ritual-ready candles—each one carefully anointed and dressed to support a range of spiritual goals.
They are made with a special blend of beeswax sourced from a local beekeeper here in Portland, Oregon, and soy from Nevada. The dyes I use are free from harmful chemicals like carcinogen, phthalates, and mutagen.
Crescent and Craft is a one-woman show-- for now.
All creations in my candle restocks are tied to the cycles of the season, from the herbs I work with to the themes that inspire each blend. Because many of the botanicals I use must be gathered or sourced in their natural season, I don’t immediately repeat past candles. Instead, each restock reflects the time of year, so every collection is intentional and one-of-a-kind.
I aim to update my shop every month, restocking deity offering candles, festive ritual tapers, and occasionally seashell journals. These updates operate on a first come first serve basis.
I will always announce the exact restock date and time through my online newsletters and through Instagram stories. You will also see details of my restock in the black banner at the top of my website!
Yes, every month or so I open up custom order forms for 1 hour.
On Candles: I do not accept returns or issue refunds for any candles. While I always make sure to pack orders very carefully, sometimes the delivery process is still chaotic and harsh on the parcel. If you selected ‘Priority Mail’ as your shipment option, your package has insurance of up to $100. It is up to you to file a claim with your local post office for reimbursement.
I do not send replacements for damaged candles. They should still burn fine even with the damage.
For all Other Goods: Again, if you selected priority mail, your parcel already has insurance up to $100. If your package is within that amount, it is up to *you* to file a claim with your postal service for full reimbursement. In the unlikely event that your package comes damaged, please send me a photo of the damaged item in the package it was sent in within 24 hours of receiving your order. I will refund you on the goods only if you complete the above in 24 hours. If it is not within that timeframe, you will not be refunded.
It's frustrating, I know, but once I drop your orders off at the post office, whatever happens next is out of my control. I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If you are worried about the safety of your package, please email me to purchase additional insurance on your package within 24 hours as I am very quick with processing orders (note: all USPS parcels shipped with Priority Mail already have insurance up to $100). If your package goes missing, I kindly ask you to contact the shipping provider to file a theft report here. All candle sales are final and I do not accept returns or offer refunds.
I am very quick when it comes to processing times-- usually within 1-2 days (depending on the amount of orders and what you've purchased).
PRE ORDERS: If you ordered candles from the PRE ORDER CANDLE UPDATE, please expect a processing time of 2-4 months so I can craft your offering candles with care. Once your order ships, we'll send you a tracking email.
Shipping is always sent out via USPS Priority Mail or First Class- whichever shipping method you pick, and includes a tracking number. You will be emailed once your order has been shipped out.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR EUROPEAN UNION CUSTOMERS: Due to recent changes in the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), I am currently unable to fulfill orders to the EU for the foreseeable future.
This new regulation imposes certain requirements that I must comply with to ensure product safety and legal conformity when shipping to the EU. While I am actively working to meet these requirements, the process will take time, and as a result, I have made the decision to temporarily pause shipments to the EU.
I understand that this may be disappointing, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I value your business and support and will keep you updated on any changes.
For everyone else: I ship internationally! However, please note that overseas shipping takes a significantly longer amount of time to receive. I cannot guarantee that your order will get to you by a specific date.
Lastly, and again, I am not responsible for lost packages.

Candle Care

Are your candles dripless?
No, they are not dripless. Each candle is hand-poured with 100% beeswax blended with a touch of soy, sourced from Nevada and Oregon. I intentionally combine the two to create a natural dripping effect as the candle burns.
My ritual candles are fully dressed (although deity candles are only half-dressed) in a layer of herbs, which encourages both the dripping and a larger, more dramatic flame.
NEVER EVER leave a lit candle unattended. BUT ESPECIALLY ONES WITH HERBS ON THEM.

Recommended Candle Holders:
These candles are made to produce wax figures. They will drip A LOT.
Most candle holders are fine for Crescent and Craft tapers, so long as you're okay with wax dripping over it (you can easily clean your candle holder by using a blow dryer to remelt the hardened wax and wiping it off with a paper towel).
To avoid drippy messes, a candelabra with a wide plate at the bottom will help collect excess wax. Personally, I like to use large shells, flat stones, and iron bowls.
If you choose to use a glass or ceramic bowl, add sand to the bottom of the bowl to prevent the candle from cracking your holder.
