Offering candles to Osiris: Egyptian god of rebirth, agriculture, the arts, and master of the afterlife.

Before his role in the underworld, mythology claims that he invented agriculture and was skilled in the workings of grains. He taught civilians how to bake bread and brew beers, introduced wine, erected the first temples and sculpted the first statues. He was also said to be a teacher of music and the arts.

According to the legend, Osiris’s brother, Seth, grew jealous of his glory and fame. Seth killed Osiris and cut his body into pieces, which he distributed around Egypt. With Osiris dead, Seth became king of the land. Isis, Osiris' sister and wife, worked tirelessly to find her husbands missing parts and resurrect him long enough so they could bear a child together. With the help of her other siblings, Isis roamed the country, collecting the pieces of her husband’s body. After they found all the pieces, he was wrapped in a linen cloth and Isis breathed the breath of life into his body and brought him back to life. They conceived the child Horus soon after.

Evoke Osiris to channel his energy in creativity, mastering skills, wisdom, and for death-related work.
