Selene

Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon. She is the Roman equivalent of Luna, and is typically worshipped on the new and full moon of the lunar phases. She is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and is known to be one of the older Gods in Greek mythology. Artemis took over her duties after the war between titans and olympian gods. 

She is usually depicted riding a chariot, a crescent moon was shown as a crown set upon her head. Other stories claim the crescent symbolizes the horns of an ox, as she was sometimes described to drive her chariot pulled by bulls.
