Deity Wreaths

Since ancient times, wreaths have been woven as symbols of the eternal cycle — their unbroken circles symbolize the turning of the seasons, the passage between life and death, and the rhythm of the natural world. In Ancient Greece, laurel wreaths were laid among the departed as emblems of remembrance and everlasting life. Centuries later, evergreen garlands adorned winter hearths and doorways across Europe, although they were staples in solstice rites and folk traditions practiced long before the modern age.
In contemporary witchcraft and pagan practices, wreaths are often fashioned as protective charms for the threshold — talismans hung upon doors and walls to bless the home, ward misfortune, and gather seasonal energies into the home.
Each wreath within this collection was created in honor of a different deity. Dried botanicals, stones, crystals, and other adornments were carefully chosen to reflect the myths, symbols, and attributes associated with each divine figure. Please refer to the deity names to learn the specific charms and natural elements woven into their making.
The flowers and greenery were gathered from local florists throughout the surrounding Portland region and from various landscapes across Oregon. Shells and hag stones were ethically hand-collected by me from my trips along the Oregon and Californian coasts, while the crystal points were sourced from small independent sellers and artisan shops.
