The Green Man Pillars

The Green Man is the symbol of irrepressible life. He is the spirt that stirs the primal urge to grow and renew. No matter how much the Earth is covered or subdued, the wild will always find a way to break through.
The Green Man is an ancient, primal figure—wild and untamed, a spirit of the natural world. No one knows exactly where he originated from, and though his roots stretch deep pre-Christianity, it is now in the shadowed arches of Gothic cathedrals that he lingers. Carved into the stone of sacred places, his visage watches over the faithful, his foliage-bound face a reminder of forgotten ways. He can be found in the hallowed halls of Bamberg, Chartres, Dijon, Norwich, and Fribourg, his presence a silent testament to old magic, to old rites. In Exeter Cathedral alone, twenty Green Men guard the sacred space, their twisted, leafy forms whispering of ancient powers still entwined with the stone.
Petition the Green Man when you need to reconnect with nature and to channel the energy of the wilderness. He may also assist in fertility magick and rejuvenation spells.
Details:
ɪᴛᴇᴍ ᴅᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ:
Two 8 inch pillar candles rolled in locally sourced herbs. Because these candles have herbs on them, the burn time is quicker than regular candles, approximately 3-4 hours.
1 Green Man wax charm will be included with your pair of candles. To add the charm to the candle, melt some hot wax onto the back of the charm and gently press it onto the candle to stick. You can also use the charm as a talisman or leave on your altar as an offering.
CANDLE CARE:
These candles melt beautifully and are safe to burn indoors, however, PLEASE be wary of the flame. The more herbs, the bigger and taller the flame will be. Always supervise your candles while burning. Some herbs may crackle when caught on fire, such as cedar and juniper.
Your candle wicks should be trimmed each time you light them. Wait until you have burned your candle for at least 1-2 hours and then use metal scissors to trim all exposed wicks down to ¼ inch.
Always burn in a reliable candle holder or in a fireproof dish.
